Morning departure from Rijeka to Croatia’s largest island Krk - barren and rocky with little vegetation that was connected to the mainland by the massive Krk bridge, completed in 1980, the largest concrete arch bridge in the world, with a span of 390 metres. Check in, dinner and overnight Malinska.
Breakfast. Depart to the charming old fi shing town of Punat which has the largest marina on the Adriatic. Transfer by boat to little island of Kosljun - known for its Franciscan monastery, its hundred-year-old high school, the grand library, and other collections and rarities. Moreover, the Lending House of Kosljun, which operated between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries, was among the fi rst fi nancial institutions in Europe. Its purpose was to provide fi nancial assistance to the poor, to protect them against usurers. Continue to the quaint rustic town of Vrbnik located on a 50 m high cliff and a real attraction for painters. The town is also known for one of the most famous Croatian white wines -Vrbnicka Zlahtina. After a break for lunch we will continue our journey to the town of Krk - from 12th to the 15th centuries, Krk town and the surrounding region remained semi-independent under the Frankopan Dukes of Krk, an indigenous Croatian dynasty, at a time when much of the Adriatic was controlled by Venice. Day 03 MALINSKA - ISLAND OF CRESBreakfast. Departure to the island of Cres, the second largest island by landmass in the Adriatic and one of the last habitats of a rare bird species - the griff on vulture. Dinner and overnight Cres.
Breakfast. Departure to island of Losinj and visit of town Mali Losinj. Later in the day we will take a boat excursion to the beautiful island of Susak. Dinner and overnight Cres.
Breakfast. Departure to Rijeka with a stopover in Opatija - the fashionable seaside resort, dating back to the times of the Austro-Hungarian empire. End of services.
